MTAM was founded in 2009 as a Non-Profit Organization by Nomvula Mashoai-Cook with the aim of promoting, sustaining, developing and empowering artists in rural communities.

Our Vision – MTAM is an Indigenous Art Market dedicated to Changing Lives of Artisans in Rural Communities throughout South Africa

Our Mission – Fostering Economic and Cultural Sustainability, while preserving and Encouraging the Indigenous Culture and Heritage of the people of South Africa.
